My collection at the time was two measly conversion cabinets and a Megatouch. I just so happened to be doing a little shopping on Ebay and what did my little eye spy? A Stun Runner for sale! I had only seen one of these in my life and that was at a movie theater.

STUN Runner was one of the first games to use 3D graphics and you sat on what looked like a space bike. The controls are the same X/Y directional yoke controls that Star Wars uses. It was ultra cool, and I wanted this piece of my childhood... er... teenage years (Stun Runner came out in 1989).

This game was listed as working 100% with a repaired sound board. I won the auction and with the help of my buddy Todd and his truck we picked this little rarity up. The gentleman who sold this to me had a commercial building with about 100 arcades in there in perfect rows. He was an avid collector but enjoyed the classics the most. Since the classics typically run from 1981-1984 (mostly before the arcade industry crash), he was selling this one as it came out in 1989.

Since I have owned the game I installed a new old stock rear sticker. Also after years of great service I have capped the monitor and replaced the flyback and HOT for continued excellent gameplay.
